Apologies to any Olive Oil aficionados. I have just been busy. We still have two 5 litre tins that sell for $350 each which includes shipping to anywhere in the USA.
If you are interested ping me an email at Filotto at gmail dot com.
If I have no response for another week, I will ask the Ice Spartan if he wants to drink it all himself, or possibly get smaller tins/bottles and make some smaller containers. The tins that were 1 litre sold for $70 but that is because they were pre-packaged that way and all bought here in Italy at the wholesale price. To rebottle and ship within the USA will have additional costs so I am not sure what that would come to, but I expect nothing less than $80 even if we take a bit of a cut in our own margin (which is not as high as you imagine after you factor in shipping by plane, packaging, transport, the cost to produce the oil and bottle it, etc etc.
Anyway, let me know.
And here is a review I got today that prompted me to write this post, as I had completely forgotten we still had two tins.
I purchased a tin of G’s farm’s olive oil. There is no comparison to store bought here in the US. His smells “green” when you unscrew the lid. US oil is flat, no green smell and bland taste.
Indeed, the taste. His has – for lack of a better word – a spicy short aftertaste. The oil is just delicious straight up. Ruined me for any store bought here in the US. When Im out of his, I’ll switch to cold pressed avocado oil until I can get more. Im thankful he’s farming so I can buy the fruit of his trees (and tough labor). Plus I help a good man whose writings really help me.
A Texas Customer
Thanks Texas dude (I keep my testimonials anonymous if the writer asks as believe it or not, some “people” find me (gasp) offensive! And I would not want that to reflect on my loyal customers).
