Only hit 2/10 but all the other shots where within a hand-span of the target and both the shots that hit were after I focussed properly. I then tried to maintain a semblance of that focus for the next 4 shots each time and could not quite achieve the same result.
The rubber fletchings still affect things, but by making sure they are always in the same direction, I am trying to minimise their effect.
Overall happy with the progress and still only at 74 shots fired.
Main issues learnt:
- There is no avoiding the Hanshin requirement. As with guns and hand-to-hand you can get used to getting in the state faster, but without it everything suffers.
- It takes about 10 minutes to fire and check on 10 shots, and about 5 minutes to write this post. Total time 15 minutes, but I gain a different perspective on whatever is/was keeping me more tense than I need to be, usually some frustration regarding something not quite going as flawlessly as I’d prefer. Which of course… c’est la vie.
